The tools people reach for aren't always the ones with the most features.
Lintel is a design studio that builds software for companies in finance, healthcare, and professional services. The users in these industries carry deep expertise. Most of their tools don't. We start with the person — their knowledge, their friction, what they actually reach for — and build from there.
RFG — Portfolio Platform
Financial advisors carry decades of pattern recognition. Their presentation software couldn't keep up with the pace of a real client conversation. We rebuilt the portfolio experience around the moment that actually matters — and made the tool disappear inside it.
VeloVane — iOS App
Cyclists translate weather, they don't just read it. Wind direction relative to the route, feel temperature at 6am, the hour where conditions shift — none of that lives in a general forecast app. VeloVane was built around the mental model cyclists already use.
Wiley Guitarworks — The Soundboard
A custom guitar commission takes months. From the client's side, that time is mostly silence. The Soundboard turned the waiting period into a designed experience — giving clients a front-row seat to the build without pulling the maker away from the bench.
It's polished, it's branded, and it feels intentional. Clients notice the difference immediately - and honestly, it makes us look like a much bigger firm.
The user is the brief. Their expertise, their friction, and what they actually reach for — that's what every decision builds from.
If the solution is decided before the work starts, you don't need a designer — you need production. The process earns the right to a recommendation.
Not every product we ship contains AI. What every product contains is a high degree of consideration — in every decision, at every scale. That's what makes something feel built for you rather than built for everyone.
No platform lock-in, no recurring license, no dependency on us to keep the lights on. The code, the design system, the IP — it's yours.
Every team has a workflow that shouldn't still be manual.
Someone owns it. Everyone works around it. And the hours it costs are invisible until someone sits down and actually watches it happen.
Lintel maps how your specialists actually work — then builds the tool that makes the manual parts disappear.
Talk about your workflowSomething worth building?
The practice is small by design and runs on referral. If the work fits what you're building, get in touch. That's usually where it starts.
